A few weekends ago, 9 scouts and a good number of visiting Webelo scouts came to the Humpback rock day hike. It was a short walk mile long walk up to the top of the mountain, where we got a nice view to eat lunch. It could have been warmer, but I did not hear even the visiting Webelo scouts complain for a second! Afterwards, we went down to the parking lot, and we took a trail that was part of the 2,000+ mile long Appalachian Trail. This was exciting for the newer scouts, because some of them had not been on the Appalachian Trail before. The car ride home was a fun one, and most groups stopped for lunch on the way home. Overall, I think it was a successful trip and that there may be more like it in the future.
